HONEY CHILLI POTATOES with SPICHI Hot Garlic Paste

 

 

 

 

 

INGREDIENTS

 

  • 5-6 Potatoes < peeled & cut into fingers >
  • 3 tbsp Honey
  • 1 pack SPICHI Hot Garlic Past
  • 4 tbsp Green Onions < chopped >
  • Oil for Deep Frying

COATING INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tsp Garlic Paste
  • 1 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 3 tbsp Corn Flour
  • 3 tbsp All Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2-3 tbsp Water

METHOD

 

Step 1

Wash potato fingers well in running water to remove extra starch.

Step 2

Mix all the coating ingredients and coat/hand toss the potato fingers in the batter. Deep fry them, remove them on tissue lined plate and let it cool.

Step 3

Hand toss the potato fingers again in the batter and double fry them until crisp, stiff and golden. Remove them on tissue lined plate to drain the extra oil.

Step 4

In a saucepan, empty contents of SPICHI Hot Garlic Paste and stir until hot. Add honey and mix both well.

Step 5

Add the double-fried potato fingers, spring onions, and toss together. Make sure to evenly coat in sauce.

Step 6

Serve immediately, hot & crisp garnished with sesame seeds and spring green onions.
